Happy Birthday Diana Rainbow! April 18

Just as I began writing this post, I was adjusting the pull out keyboard tray at this Internet Cafe here in Chiang Mai and it suddenly came crashing to the floor. All I could think of as the woman rushed over to help set things right was: "I'm still the beaver..." which is an old saying between Diana and me. It comes from the old TV series: 'Leave It To Beaver' and it refers to how the kid in the show was always getting into trouble no matter how hard he tried to conform. His parents would just shake their heads and say: "He's still the Beaver...".

I've know Diana for 31 years. She drove out West with me in 1976 and we were married for 14 years. She and I don't always see things eye to eye. Sometimes I have irritated her so much that she hasn't talked to me for a while. But then I'll get an email or a phone call and she will say: "I'm still the beaver." Well so am I Diana. And I just want to say that it makes me feel a little safer here in Thailand to know that you're there watching out for me on the inner and the outer Planes. I wish you a good day and send you my love and best wishes.
Baraka Bashad, and just for the record; I agree with you. It was a beaver, not a muskrat that day in Kin Coulee Park. I don't care what that Ranger said!

Happy birthday Deeds. I'm delighted that you remain a family member and that you're one of Steve's best friends.
Love, J.P.

Does this mean one of you is the beaver and the other the muskrat?

Thanks Steve for that very nice birthday wish and hi to you Pat, Melissa and Scott. I love all you guys - how could I ever just go away. Besides, you make me almost lose the milk I have in my mouth by the funny quips at the table. You guys have been doing this for so long that sometimes it might not strike you just how HILARIOUS YOU ALL ARE.
Pat has been my 'mom' and helped me through some hard times. Steve saved my life literally - you know the Ruff and Ready cartoons? one's a cat one's a dog. And they always sing this song 'We maybe fight like dogs and cats, but when we need eachother that's when, we're Ruff and Ready.
That's how it is with us. We are friends that care deeply about eachother - WE JUST CAN'T LIVE TOGETHER. Poor Mike when he stayed with us for a while. He had to be around for all the fights. It is a wierd phenomena to love someone so much and not being able to live with them. I always thought love conquered anything. Nope- sometimes you just have to 'fall with the punches'

I have grown so much. I am taking Hortilculture at the college here. Thankyou to all the Tennants and Wills, for letting me know I'm not alone. I'm still the beaver and Steve's still the Beaver and yeh your right - it was a beaver (inside joke)

Love ya kiddo Have fun and be safe.
