3 Picture Day: Melissa Time (Buddhas and Beauties)

Since Thailand is 12 hours ahead of you in Ontario Melissa, I thought I would include the two photos that correspond to what you saw for pictures two and three.
Picture 2: (Melissa Time)

Jook and Monkey asked this Monk if I could have my picture taken with him here in the market of the Sea side city of Rayong. Rule number 17 in Thai etiquette (let's add that one to your books R and Sarah), Rule #17 don't put your arm around a Monk... He was very pleased to have his picture taken but hands to the side please...

Picture 3(Melissa Time)

We arrived at Koh Samet (the island of Samet) on the Gulf of Thailand where I had the first chance to see the ocean since arriving in the country. I thought it only fitting to include this picture with a beautiful Thai woman to make sure you understand this IS paradise here. The water is as warm as bathwater, the sand is like sugar and the people are all friendly.
Okay, that's the end of 3 picture day for now. For now...

I was strong until I saw the beach photo, and then my little snowbound heart started to melt. Swoon. Long for. Sand like sugar. And warm ocean water. Good heavens it is beautiful there.

pmelissa: And as I sat in a reclining lawn chair watching the golden surf, Jook brought me sliced pineapple and papaya, picked fresh that morning. You haven't really experienced the succulent taste of fruit until you... Okay I'll stop.
